THE STORY BEHIND THE STORIES

Butterfly Christmas.jpg

Before I could produce the Christmas radio special, Wrap Up A Dream, featuring children's letters to Santa Claus, I needed actual letters to Santa. Lots of them. I got them - 10,000 of them - from the Post Office. Buried in those 10,000 letters were two letters from the same child in Erie, Pennsylvania. The first letter ... Dear Santa Claus, Mom says you might not come to our house this year but my sister is sick so will you please make her better from the North Pole? Thank you, Santa. The second letter ... Dear Santa Claus, My sister died. I thought you were going to make her better. Neither letter made its way into the radio special but both made their way into my heart. And that's how The Butterfly Christmas happened.

"The feel good book of the year"  Amazon reader review

I spent several years working with seniors in assisted living homes, nursing homes and dementia wards. Every one of those seniors had a story. A love story. Between old men, old women, old dogs, even an old wolf. Stories from Heaven, stories about Heaven, stories about Heaven on earth. Stories of love and friendships that lasted a lifetime and stories of love and friendships that happen once in a lifetime. And that's how Old Friends Endless Love happened. I was going to title the book Fried Chicken For The Old Soul - It Ain't Chicken Soup But It's Good For Your Noodle but I got talked out of it.

"Absolutely amazing and magical and beautiful! I'm covered in goose bumps!"  Review from Betsy C in Idaho

ON THE HORIZON

Sunday Park Revised Cover.jpg

Some years ago, I produced a series of audio books, Stories From Sunday Park, narrated by Rod McKuen (Google him. He was an international best-selling author, singer, narrator). The stories aired on Christian radio stations around the country and were so popular that they are now in the works to be released in book form with illustrations by world class illustrator Marcia Adams Ho and with a workbook written by Reverend and author Marie Weaver, attached to each story.

"Our world would be kinder if we could all take our turn upon the bench in Sunday Park."  Tim Winter/Pastor/Los Angeles

Also on the horizon - 40 - the first in a series of graphics driven books with the featured illustration by Jeffrey Bedrick, background artist for several movies including Shrek2 and The Little Mermaid 2.

"It's not only a new children's book, it's a whole new world!" Chuck Blore/Encino

And finally, finally, my first novel, The Snow Kid, is in the hands of my editor,

I'll keep you posted.
